In 2nd Timothy, the apostle Paul encourages Timothy to remember Jesus.
2 Timothy 2:8
“Remember Jesus”
Pretty simple- right?
What a great reminder thousands of years ago from Paul who wrote his final letters from prison 66-67 AD.
Even in chains, he remembered his Savior. He knew what lie ahead as his future was about to end with eternity on the horizon. The suffering was to end. Enough.
Could we mirror Paul’s attitude and believe what lies ahead no matter what today presents?
Every time Paul was persecuted or abused, perhaps he was driven to look forward. His hope was in the Lord. He was centered. He was determined to do as much as often as possible in what was left of his life.
Paul’s writing is a reminder of how to look forward to eternity with our Savior.
Paul’s letters are a reminder of the life we should be living with a hope and eye on the best yet to come with Jesus. Remember Jesus
